It’s over. I’m done. The scripting language component of the engine are complete enough to move on to writing the renderer. There are minor things the language can’t do, but it’s good enough to get the job done. This is after all a language designed to power a game, and not a language designed for system programming. It’s been a very long year getting this piece completed, but it should offer enormous flexibility, so it was time very well spent. Hopefully by the end of October I’ll be able to start posting videos on YouTube that show off very basic rendering capabilities.
