I was on vacation this week, and without much exaggeration I must have well over ten hours a day every day programming. I’m finally a the point where I’m building stuff looks like a game. Currently my focus is on building the integrated (The same program that will launch the game can also be used to build the game) development tools. I’m working on the level editor right now, and I’ve been going back and forth with Kate over what ideas work and what ideas don’t work. It’s great to collaborate with someone on a project that means a great deal to me.
I really want to post screenshots, but extremely early alpha stage screenshots would be incredibly underwhelming. I probably have at least six months of development work ahead of me on just building the development tools. Once the tools are done I can finally start to build the game, and then the real fun begins.
