Title: Return of Summer A year has passed and still I sit alone by the wall and waves and lessons that time has shown I still return to sit on the roof of my car to bathe in light of dimly shining stars (I want to go home) And although it seems like so long ago (I miss the waves) And although the time has passed so very slow (I miss my friends) And although I seem to have grown a lot (And I miss the days) I still think about the things that I should not (But what can I do) And although I've made some new friends (And what can I say) And although I found a love again (Those friendships are gone) And although the rocks will still break the waves (And I'm not the same) I can never forget about the summer days that passed (I want to go home) I remember the times we'd walk down to the shore on a summer's night Talking for hours on the wall that stopped the waves But that year's gone and a new one is here And there are plently of memories that we can share The summer may end but not the waves That will keep us together on the long summer days ahead
